My name is Jose, I’m 43 years old and I’m an SSI Instructor.
I have been diving since the year 2000 and, after more than 20 years working in engineering, in 2018 I decided to turn my true passion into my profession: the sea.
Over the years, I have completed around 5,000 dives in different seas and oceans around the world.
I live in endless summer and have worked professionally in the Canary Islands, Costa Brava, the Illes Medes Marine Reserve, and Thailand. I have also dived in spectacular destinations such as Egypt, Indonesia, the Galápagos Islands, Mexico, and the impressive wrecks of Malta. Every place has taught me something different and has strengthened my way of understanding diving: safety, technique, respect, and enjoyment of the marine environment.
In addition, I am an official guide of the Parc Natural del Montgrí, Illes Medes i Baix Ter and a certified port skipper, which allows me to share not only technical knowledge, but also a deep connection with the marine environment and its conservation.
For me, teaching diving goes far beyond earning a certification. My goal is to train good divers: people who are confident, aware, and respectful of the sea. I enjoy accompanying each student through their progress, helping them gain confidence and discover everything the underwater world has to offer.
Because the sea is not only my job. It is my home.
Come diving with me and, at the very least, I promise you all my patience and dedication!
Wishing everyone lots of blue!
